Can you see who viewed your Instagram story?
Yes, but only the person who posted the story sees who watched it, and only for 24 hours counted from posting. After that the names disappear and a view count is all that stays. Anyone who watched while signed in to Instagram is on the list; on a public account that includes people who do not follow the poster.

Can you see who views your Instagram highlights?
Only for a short while. A highlight reuses the viewer list of the story inside it, so names show only within 24 hours of that story's original posting. Pinning an old story to a highlight does not start the clock again. After that the owner sees a view count and no names.

Can you still use Picuki today?
Not as an Instagram viewer: on 24 September 2026, picuki.com sent visitors to a TikTok viewer and showed no Instagram content. Of five other viewers checked one by one that day, two showed a public account's live story with no login, and two did not load at all. A replacement has to work on a public account today without a login, a payment or an offer wall, and none of them, this site included, can open a private account.

Can you view a private Instagram account?
Only if the owner approves you as a follower. A private account's posts and stories reach only the followers its owner has accepted. No website, app or paid service gets around that, and this site cannot either, since it opens public accounts and nothing more.

Does Instagram notify when you screenshot?
A screenshot of a story, a post, a reel, a profile or an ordinary chat notifies nobody, and neither does a screen recording of a story (checked 24 September 2026, without Instagram Plus). Disappearing photos and videos in chats, and messages in vanish mode, are the exception: the sender is told. Reddit posts from 2026 disagree on whether Instagram Plus warns posters about story screenshots.

Does Instagram show who views your profile?
No. Instagram shows nobody a list of who visited their profile and sends no notice of a visit or a search. The exception is stories: watching one while signed in puts your name on its viewer list. A search or a visit can also put you in that person's suggestions, the trace people least expect.

How to know if someone blocked you on Instagram
No single sign proves a block, and “User not found” also appears when an account is deleted, deactivated, renamed, banned or simply mistyped. What separates them is opening the same handle without your own account: a profile that loads for everyone except you points to a block. A private profile is where the check goes quiet, because this site cannot open one, so a blocked private account and an unblocked one look the same here.

How to view Instagram stories anonymously
Each story view is tied to whichever Instagram account opened it. The only route that lets you watch a whole story with your name off the viewer list is one that does not use your account at all, such as a web viewer; the poster may still see a view from an account they do not recognise. No route opens a private account. The in-app tricks mostly fail: airplane mode and blocking afterwards both leave your name on the list (checked 24 September 2026).

Is GazeStory safe to use?
GazeStory never asks for a password, an Instagram login or an email, and this site keeps no log of what you look up. The third-party data provider that fetches each profile still learns the username you entered, the site the lookup came from and your IP address. Your Instagram account is not used, though the owner may see a view from an account they do not recognise.

Is it legal to view Instagram stories anonymously?
It is three questions, not one: what the law says, what Instagram's terms say, and whether your own account is at risk. Merely viewing what an account has made public is, in most countries, not on its own against the law, but local law decides and this page is not legal advice. What changes the picture is what happens next, such as following one person or reposting what you saved; viewing through this site does not use your account.

What the Instagram story viewer order means
The list of viewers is ranked by how much each account interacts with the poster on Instagram, with accounts that liked the story at the top, however few viewers there are. In the standard app, watching again did not move anyone up. A high place reflects that history of interaction, not how interested someone is in the story.

Why are Instagram stories not loading?
When Instagram stories are not loading, there are three possible sources: your own app, the account that posted them, or Instagram as a whole. Often there is nothing to fix, because the story has expired or was never shown to you. Opening the same public account from outside your app helps tell the cases apart in a minute; for a private account that check cannot help.
